Snäxx isn't an app dreamed up on a drawing board. Behind it stands a real film studio – with cameras, sound studios, sets and people who come from the set, not from a marketing deck.

A studio in the Black Forest

Black Forest Studios is a fully integrated film and television studio based in Kirchzarten near Freiburg, at the edge of the Black Forest. Founded in 2020, the studio unites development, production, post-production and sound under one roof – with seven studio spaces and direct access to striking natural locations. From idea to finished film, everything happens in one place.

Why a film studio bets on microdramas

Black Forest Studios' positioning was unusual for a European studio from the start: lean, fast, cinematic – and deliberately not the slow, traditional production company. The focus is on premium microdramas "at scale": vertical short-form series, mobile-first, built for engagement and retention, but with a cinematic standard of quality.

We come from the set, not the drawing board. This closeness to real filmmaking craft shapes every series.

The integrated pipeline as an advantage

The decisive difference from many app-first providers: at Black Forest Studios, development, production, post-production and distribution all sit under one roof. That means:

  • Faster production without friction between external service providers.
  • Consistent quality, because camera, sound and editing are attuned to one another.
  • Full control over the look, the rights and the schedule of every series.

From production to platform

Snäxx is the logical next step: a platform of its own, where the microdramas made in the studio find their audience – and where external creators and studios can showcase their series too. This closes the loop from the shoot in the Black Forest to the viewer watching on their phone anywhere in the world. The first original, "Black Forest Royale," is being made right on the studio's own doorstep.
